Fuel defaults: Statistics Canada’s September 2026 Toronto averages. Electricity default: Ontario home off-peak, $0.098/kWh, effective 2025-11-01. These are dated references, not live or Canada-wide prices. Enter your local pump or charging price above.
Electricity estimates cover energy only; delivery, regulatory charges, taxes and rebates are excluded. Public charging prices differ. Plug-in hybrid fuel costs show driving without charging; electricity is extra when you plug in.
Maintenance is a planning estimate using DOE/Argonne powertrain baselines and estimated adjustments for brand and vehicle size. These adjustments are budgeting assumptions, not manufacturer service quotes. Insurance, repairs, depreciation and financing are additional.
Gas range uses the base model’s tank capacity and combined consumption. Electric range uses the published base-model figure. Estimates vary with cold weather, speed and driving conditions. Refuel before empty.
